こんにちは 私はアンソニーです。 アメリカ生まれ、オーストラリアのシドニーに住む I am known for giving tokens of affection, opening doors, walking arm in arm, please's and thank-you's, and enjoy doing all the romantic things in dating... they really make the heart feel alive! I'm an easy going person, who is never in too much of a rush to stop and admire the artwork of nature. Be that in the pictures of the clouds, or the dance of the leaves as they blow in the wind, or how the rain droplets join and form rivulets down the windows. Sometimes it is the awe of wonder in a strangers eyes; and other times how the sunlight glistens off this, that and the other. I came to Australia some 30 years ago from America's southwest, and have been a dual-national for most of that time... Australia is my home. I am a personable, sociable, easy going, and altruistic person that has true empathy for people. Probably because I like helping people become their version of better. I like the D&M conversations, particularly those that help us both grow into something more. I can converse on most topics, 'cept politics and sport... 'specially not sport. I am the type of person who actually listens to feelings, not just hears words. I am generous with my time, and most always put whatever I am doing to make time for the person who needs a friend, (or just an ear to talk to). In my downtime I paint canvas (acrylic), draw people, and volunteer with the Tourette Syndrome Association (I'm on the committee). I enjoy traveling, just wish I had someone to come with. I've gone to Sparndam Holland to where the little boy stuck his finger in the dijk to stop the water flooding Holland. I've seen Little Julian in Belgium, Victory Square in Leningrad, Notre Dame in both Paris and Geneva (Geneva is better); and many many places across the Americas. My last trip to Europe, I drove over 8,000km (with four teens; now all adults). Texoma last December, NZ in July and hope to tour the small towns of Japan someday soon...ish. I also like drives to country towns around Australia, just to meet the locals. I truly believe what makes any country great is the people. Good things come to those who wait, so I am in no rush. However I do hope for that date that ends with a wonderful kiss on the front porch and the promise of another date. I'm a big man (189cm and 112kg), divorced, 4 adult kids, live in Sydney AU. Transport is usually a pushbike (summertime), motorcycle (day-to-day), or convertible, depending on the weather and how I feel that day. IMHO a good relationship requires work, and change, from both parties. We have to work and change to find each other, and then work more and change more to keep each other. I am very much the touchy-feely-romantic type of person; for example, wallking hand in hand, or arm in arm, my trying to write poetry, and then reading it to you (even when it's bad). Other stuff * Humour: I like Tim Allen, particularly his latest show "Last Man Standing" it reminds me of home when I was growing up. * My car: it's an Alfa Romeo - Spider * My bike: currently a Honda CB500X, also have an Earth TREX 29sp mountain bike which I ride 24km to work in the summertime. * Politics: not a fan. where I agree equality is important I tend to place a higher value on the freedom to be me. * Music: Where I enjoy the peace and quiet of silence, I like C&W, but also listen to 70's, 80's, Triple-J, Jazz and others

So this is my one brief opportunity to capture your attention by attempting to describe my character in a meaningful way. Well, I do have character and my intentions are meaningful :) In recent years I've taken time out to understand myself better, my strengths, weaknesses, attributes and flaws. I'd describe myself as independent, pragmatic, intelligent, creative, honest, confident, modest. Normal but not average, I'm very much my own person and wear my heart on my sleeve. Open minded and intrigued by cultural differences. Raised with old fashioned values. Nobody is perfect and sure I still have space to improve but I'm confident in being regarded as a decent bloke. Spent my childhood on a dairy farm in middle England, my teenage years in a country town and most of my adult life in the suburbia of West Yorkshire, England. I discovered travel in my 20s and never looked back: riding around europe on a motorbike with mates, from Cape Horn to Japan on my own, 4 months scuba diving SE Asia and a heap of other travels. I feel blessed to live in an age where it's possible to see, taste and experience the world and always look forward to going somewhere new. Moving to Australia in 2007 proved to be exciting, emotional, challenging and most definately rewarding. I didn't know anyone when I arrived in Adelaide and took advantage of having no house or responsibilities by taking a year off work during the transition. After a trip to Perth for Xmas 2009 I knew where I wanted to be and finally moved here several months later and here I am, living the dream :) I have no regrets. If you looked in a shop window and saw something of interest would you go in?
