I was born in Ceylon (now Sri Lanka), grew up in London, England, then moved to the USA at 15 after completing my "O level" exams at Selhurst Boys High School, and enrolled at Seton Hall Prep in New Jersey after arriving in the USA. After graduating from Seton Hall, I joined the US Air Force to pay for college while drawing excitement from the job, flying combat search and rescue, teaching and writing curriculum for noncommissioned officer academies as the Director of Education, and performed with several rifle drill demonstration teams at different bases to engage civilians' interest in miliary activities and help in community activities. I flew Presidential Support (supporting President G. H. W. Bush) on the US National Emergency Airborne Command Post, a tricked-out 747 jumbo jet loaded with 134 personnel from all four military branches, which follows Air Force One whenever it leaves the US, to maintain lethal force protection of the president. After that I taught and wrote curriculum for two NonCommissioned Officer Academies as the Director of Education and chief instructor. After returning to aerospace medicine, I served as the Command Superintendent for Aerospace Medicine at Strategic Air Command HQ, overseeing aerospace medicine personnel, and later transferred to Air Combat Command HQ in the same capacity, retiring at 20 years of military service just after turning 37. After several more years in the financial services sector in merchant credit card processing sales and service, I'm now fully retired, and hoping to meet the love of my life--who may well be on this site, and with love and luck, I shall live out my life devoted to her.
