I am a calm, easy going person. Honesty and trust are extremely important to me. I'm looking for the same values with my partner. I'm financially secure and can afford to travel whenever it suits me. I love Japan and moved to Japan recently. I request kindly that I'm not interested in women outside of Japan. Please don't message me if you are outside Japan. I was born and raised near Los Angeles but I moved to Guam many years ago. I really loved living there. There are many advantages living on an island, and a few disadvantages too! Although I am American, I can honestly say I am not a typical American at all. I don't have a strong opinion about most things and I like to hear from people who have a different point of view. I enjoy meeting people from different cultures and like to learn things from them. I have always had a strong fascination and interest in Japan. I admire the culture and traditions very much. Of course, I love Japanese food and eat it all the time. I am studying Japanese and can speak a little but not very well. I am taking classes now. Kanji is difficult but I really enjoy learning it. I can recognize a few hundred, but I have a long way to go. I practice every day. I'm on this site because I am looking for my soul mate. I hope to meet someone that shares the same values and interests as me. I hope you agree and want to chat with me. I would really like to get to know you better. Trust and honesty are very important to me. I hope to find a partner that feels the same way. Thank you for reading my message. I hope I will hear from you soon! すみません。日本語はまだ下手です。 毎日勉強する。 友達からは優しいと言われます。

CheerfuI, Sincere, Curious, Energetic, Introspective - Loves to Travel, Explore, Learn - seeking someone similar. ☺ Hello! (-: My name is Chris; I grew up in Norway until I was 20, then lived in California and Hawaii for several years and I have both European and U.S. citizenship. Speak 100% fluent English. I now live in Hawaii half the year and Japan half the year. I also enjoy travelling to New Zealand, Europe, and many new places around the world. Hope to meet someone who is intelligent, with a good sense of humor, curious and open to new ideas, and appreciate and care about nature (including animals). I love animals, especially cats and dogs. I try to take good care of my health by eating healthy (most of the time, not all the time!) and enjoying exercise and sports. Also, I usually think in a logical way and enjoy learning new things. Related to that, I do not get angry when someone points out that I've made a mistake. If it appears that I was wrong, I will admit it as soon as I understand that I was mistaken. I like clarity in situations where that is possible, and when I am uncertain of something or simply don't know, I make that clear as well. I have no problem saying I do not know something. ☺ I do not like to be around people with a big ego, and try to make sure I also do not have a big ego, haha! :-) If I have good qualities, I consider myself lucky to have them, not proud. After all, I did not create myself! ;-) Some of my interests are: mountain and forest walks, swimming, tennis, golf, learning about plants and trees, and reading many topics (neuroscience, psychology, philosophy, history, and many more). I am very curious and enjoy learning about and experiencing the amazing world we live in! ☺ Look forward to hearing from someone who hopefully shares at least some of my interests. I love to travel to explore places with beautiful nature as well as learn about the local culture and history. Chris 😊
