I âm Asian live in HCM city since I was young now I have been living in the US for 12 years. Some people confided to me that they don't know what can make them truly happy! They do not feel that this world has meaning, and they do not know their own dreams. They also don't know if their lives have meaning anymore! I thought to myself, if only I could give them some advice. If only I could help them dispel negative thoughts. I want to do that because I appreciate them very much. I can only tell them that their lives are very meaningful, at least the work they are doing is meaningful and useful to many people even though that work does not really make them happy. . No matter how impermanent this life is (working to make a lot of money won't take us to the grave when we close our eyes, or being angry or sad won't make things brighter), even if there's nothing exists forever and life goes on the way it wants, but that doesn't mean we should give up. You can't just live any way you like, even though sooner or later you'll return to dust. You can't just live for yourself and today, and whatever happens tomorrow will happen. Wouldn't it really be a waste of one's life to live like that?! What is the meaning of life if we don't leave behind a memory?
