Currently remodeling my traditional log house, and I like to do things myself, at least before I get a contractor (haha). I also do light mechanical work on my vehicle, and I enjoy restoring old landscaping equipment including small bull dozer and John Deere garden tractors. I'm conservative and frugal and like to go thrifting, yard sales, etc., to see if I can find what I need before buying new. When buying new, I like to buy quality. I enjoy writing and have written for yearbooks, newspapers and technical journals and books. I was the nerd in high school, got a good education, then a good job. I play guitar in a folk band, have an INTJ personality and I am Empath. I am fit and healthy but no longer play sports like tennis. I am active especially for taking short trips, especially the Midwest USA, maybe camping or kayaking, or hiking. I live in a beautiful area of Michigan near the coast of Lake Michigan having a 300-mile sandy beach. and sand dunes. This is a tourist destination and weather is moderate. I moved from South Carolina because it was too hot, and the snow here is manageable. I enjoy living on property where there is total privacy, and daily see deer, turkey, sometimes raptors which I enjoy. I live on a hill and can see for miles, so I really enjoy the view and having a relaxing lifestyle. I was a materials engineer but now I'm retired and although every day is a holiday for me, I like to keep busy accomplishing something. I traveled to 20+ countries (Asia, Europe and SA) for business and enjoy cultural exchanges and always spent extra times in those countries. I don't have a lot of friends, but I am not particularly lonely. I don't have those addictive man habits such as watching sports on TV or gambling. I am a one woman man. I enjoy geography and politics, and if you hate Trump, please don't bother me.
