I recently took a sabbatical after settling a grueling (7 years’) case, did some exploring, and think I’m now ready to reenter the real world and settle down. Career-wise, am looking for “Act II”, as have become fairly cynical about law and judges, since today unfortunately being a good lawyer seems to require one to be a good liar, which I’m not. I will be teaching law as adjunct professor at some area colleges. I earned my B.A. at Brown University; JD at SUNY/ Buffalo; and, an M.S. in Real Estate Development and Finance at NYU. Also, I have always been my own self-motivated man, and enjoy working independently--from anywhere in the world. My bicycle and my skis are essential equipment; add my laptop so that I can work from anywhere, and I’m a happy guy. Visiting different places expands one’s mindset and makes me appreciate other cultures, and I am very open to meeting women from other cultures. But if English is not your first language, high-level fluency is essential to get my understated humor and musings. I identify as being raised Jewish, with heritage from Poland and Russia, but do not practice. I dislike tribalism. I subscribe more to (Bill) Clintonism: “Our similarities as humans are greater than any differences.” I have two grown daughters who do not live with me; one is a math tutor and the other is in medical school (Baylor). I have no pets, but have recently begun volunteering as a dog-walker at a shelter. I am happier living in the suburbs with grass, wide-open spaces, lakes, and a pool I can jump into any time; more so than in a high-rise in the city.
